Forest Hall Estate | <<

This is the most epic mural commission thus far. Forest Hall Estate nestles between Natures Valley and Plettenberg Bay on the Garden Route. A Victorian Estate with its own Ocean frontage and enormous lawns. When a New York Businessman purchased the Estate for his own residence, he undertook mammoth refurbishments as there was widespread disrepair. Of the changes he made was to commission this mural in the Entrance Hall to replace the sixty-odd wildlife trophies that used to hang there. We decided to honour the Tsitsikamma wilderness as subject matter and depict it as it may have been two-thousand years ago when the San were still alive. Imagery of Lions was painted in the rocks and that of a Bull Elephant in the Clouds. A truly monumental work measuring 16m by 8m.
